Below you will find a list of commonly asked questions about a broadband ADSL connection from Web Africa


Q: How long would I have to wait for the ADSL line to be installed?
A: An ADSL installation can take up to 6 weeks to be installed.

Q: If I have an existing ADSL line , how do I move it over to Web Africa?
A: You can transfer your existing ADSL line to Web Africa at no cost.

Q: What does the product include?
A: It will include an ADSL line (384,512 or 4096k) and an Internet Access account.

Q: What Criteria to I need to qualify for this product?
A:
  1. You would need an existing Telkom telephone line
  2. Your Exchange must be ADSL enabled

Q: What happens if I run out of bandwidth?
A: You will be able to access the DSL console to top up your account at R70 per gigabyte(GB).

Q: Where do I log an ADSL line fault should there be something wrong with my line?
A: You are able to log an ADSL line fault either with Web Africa or Telkom SA.

Q: If my router is faulty, do I have to courier it to you, or do you collect it?
A: We will send our courier company to collect, fix and then return your router.

Q: At the end of the 24 month period can I upgrade or downgrade to a new package?
A: At the end of the contractual agreement, you will be able to renew the contract, and or up or downgrade your package.

Q: Do I have to enter into a 24 month contract?
A: We give you an option to select between a 24 month contract with a free 4 port router/modem or a month to month contract with no router/modem included.

Q: Can I up or downgrade my package at any given point?
A: Yes all you need to do is give our support desk a call and we will gladly do it for you.
