1. If the modem is not dialing and trying to establish a connection then check to make sure that the modem is installed properly and responds to diagnostics.

2. Make sure that no other programs are using your modem. Fax software, Supervoice, etc...

3. Ctrl-Alt-Delete, if you see RNAAPP loaded, close it and restart.

4. If the modem is dialing and trying to establish a connection then try modem driver updates/init strings after checking all of the user settings.

3. Uninstall and reinstall dial up networking and recreate the connection

4. Check into line noise.

Raven Posted on 5/3/2006 9:04:12 AM	This problem seems fairly common, because I have a couple of clients who have this problem. In the past changing the modem by complete removal has worked, but recently the problem persists even after that. It there anyone out there who has the SOLUTION.
